CreatePossible and partners host Strategic Planning and Financial Seminar series.

Talanton Financial, CreatePossible, and Goodcity are merging expertise to collectively offer tools to non-profit leaders through a seminar series focused on organizational strategic and financial planning. Local non-profit leaders recently gathered for the first seminar in the series to examine the importance of having a strategic plan as well as how to make informed financial decisions. These tools serve multiple purposes, including the health and growth of an organization, healthy HR decisions, and ability to provide tangible results for funders.

Dan Droubie, Principle/Consultant at Ministry Management Services, moderated a panel of leaders, including Al Kamienski, Professor of Finance at North Park University, Mike Gogis, CFO of the Willow Creek Association, Rene Alvarado, COO of re:source global, and Jimmy Lee, President of Goodcity Chicago, who shared their experiences both with and without strategic plans, and also provided insight into the changing landscape of financial and hiring decisions for both non-profit and for-profit sectors. Influenced by trends in millennial workplace expectations, the panel emphasized the benefits of utilizing shared services to maximize employee time while saving money internally by hiring outside, lowering overhead costs.

Talanton Financial, CreatePossible, and Goodcity will jointly continue this three part seminar series, and will offer similar panels and workshops for various topics in the near future. For more information, contact Tommy Lee.
